Rachel Brown

Rachel Brown performs on a wide range of flutes and recorders, and is much in demand as a soloist, orchestral musician, inspirational teacher and illuminating speaker. As a soloist she has toured extensively, and has won international acclaim for her recordings of works by Quantz, C.P.E. Bach, Handel and Telemann, among others. She has also had a long and distinguished career as principal flute with ensembles such as Kent Opera, the Academy of Ancient Music and The King’s Consort. She has given masterclasses around the world, and is currently professor of Baroque flute at the Royal College of Music.

Anna Urrey

Finnish-American flutist Anna Urrey has performed with the New Jersey Symphony, the American Symphony Orchestra, and Symphony in C, among others. Internationally, she has collaborated with Philippe Entremont at Les Concerts du Cloître in Nice, France, was an Artist-In-Residence at the Banff Music Center in Alberta, Canada, and has performed in Muscat, Oman, with the Castleton Festival Orchestra under Lorin Maazel. A dedicated pedagogue, she is a New York Philharmonic Teaching Artist Apprentice and an adjunct flute teacher at the City College of New York, as well as serving on the faculty for the Harmony Program at P.S. 129.
