Taking the theme of travel on water as our guide, the Aspect Chamber Music Series, along with soprano Vera Maria Kremers and pianist Jakub Sládek, invites you on a voyage through a century of French art and music. From the yearning Romanticism of Berlioz's Nuits d'Été, through the shimmering Impressionism of Debussy, and the elegant Belle Époque sensuality of Duparc, Fauré, and Ravel, to the Jazz Age insouciance of Martinů and Poulenc, concluding with the bittersweet songs of the exiled Kurt Weill.
